Greg has been studying martial arts for 14 years. Several years ago, Master Lum bought property in Arizona, in the hills about 40 miles outside of Kingman. Testing for belts is done at the property
...in the dirt...at about 6,000 feet.

Greg's first challenge was to run from the camp at the top of the hill down to the gravel pit, then up and down that hill 10 times. (Kenobi encouraged him the whole way.)

I ran up once, and decided that was enough...but the view was nice from the top. That's Greg enjoying the view.

Chloe, Sifu Bryon's 2 1/2 year old daughter thought "if Greg can do it, so can I".

Greg gave an amazing Poi Ball demonstration -- Polynesian style-- that wowed the crowd.

At the end of all the contesting and demostrations, Greg and John received their 2nd Degree Black belts from Master Lum.

Ricardo also received his Brown Belt, as the black belts looked on.

After receiving a brown belt, it is customary to receive solar plexus shots from the whole school. Here Sifu Kirk prepares to "congratulate" Ricardo.

Sifu Bryon from Progressive Martial Arts also got to participate.

...at the end of it all, students and teachers were ready to celebrate.

After getting hit in the stomach a bunch of times, there's nothing quite like a campfire ...and a party!
